Lau Lukkarila (they/them) is an artist from Finland’s Bay of Bothnia. Their performative work researches will and wounds under the allures and burdens of affect and they are drawn to poignant wit and pocket knives. Their work has been presented at Mad House Helsinki, the Austrian Pavilion at the Gwangju Biennale 2024 (Club Liaison/Liesl Raff), HochX Munich, LOFFT Theater Leipzig, ImPulsTanz, Tanzquartier Wien, brut Wien and Kunstraum Niederösterreich. Lau Lukkarila last appeared at brut Wien in 2021 with the production kneading to the 3rd millennia.
