From the labor market to lending, algorithms are already making critical decisions about our lives. What sounds like something out of a science fiction movie is already a reality. Together with the workshop participants, the Metalab takes a detailed look at exactly how these algorithms are structured and what prejudices they represent. And even if it is not always easy, they will think about how we can escape from the clutches of the algorithms.
The Metalab is a place where interested people can pursue their curiosity, realize unique ideas or meet and exchange ideas with others. As Vienna's oldest and largest hackspace, the Meta Lab offers an atmosphere in which people interested in art, technology, society and science can come together to exchange knowledge and work on personal and joint projects. metalab.at
