Elizabeth Ward (b. Detroit 1977) is a choreographer and performer current living in Vienna. Her work references ballet without being Ballet. Recent projects include the Anti-Fascist Ballet School- a collaboration with Magdalena Chowaneic- that has been presented through the Wiener Festwochen 2017 and wien woche 2016 and an ongoing collaboration with visual artist Andrea Creutz on workshop formats investigating pedagogy and consciousness raising. Her techno ballet Everything is in everything - Corps de Ballet, made in collaboration with AC/Boy, was presented at brut in fall of 2016. Previously they have shown work at WUK, The Kitchen (NYC) and Trinosophes (Detroit). Elizabeth holds a BA from Bennington College in Vermont and was a researcher at the a.pass post graduate study in Brussels.
