Three venues, three premieres: for the season opening 2024/25, brut brings a varied programme to the stage!

brut season 2024/25 opens at brut nordwest on 25 September: now by varukt | Inge Gappmaier is a suspenseful space of sound, movement and action about the perception of time and the experience of the present.

At studio brut, DARUM (Victoria Halper & Kai Krösche) presents [EOL]. End of Life, a virtual reality experience embedded in an immersive real-life setting.

Der Betrieb – The Generations Season makes the process of dance and choreography visible and takes place in the 15th district. Performers from different generations provide insights into their work.

varukt | Inge Gappmaier opens the season 2024/25 on 25 September. now allows the audience to experience the moment of now as a space. The focus is on the concrete experience of our present, our (shared) vulnerability, presence and attempts at communication. The now is not understood here as a fleeting moment on a linear time trajectory, but as a permanent state of a specific duration tied to the body. An exciting, multidimensional cosmos of sound and movement of physical poetry opens up.

Let's talk about brut

Kira Kirsch will be the new artistic director of Festival Perspectives for the upcoming festival editions from 2025 onwards. She will continue as artistic director of brut Wien until the end of season 2025/26.

In addition to her work as Artistic Director of brut Wien, Kira Kirsch will take over the management of the Franco-German cultural festival Perspectives in her home town of Saarbrücken from 2025.

Impressions of the opening of "HOUSE OF CONSTRUCTS" by Aldo Giannotti in collaboration with Karin Pauer at Bank Austria Kunstforum Wien

Aldo Giannotti's performative exhibition project "HOUSE OF CONSTRUCTS", in collaboration with choreographer Karin Pauer and curator Lisa Ortner-Kreil, reimagines the exhibition space as both a literal and metaphorical construction site. Continuously evolving over the duration of three weeks, this innovative undertaking examines the dynamic interplay between spatial configurations and human behaviors through Giannotti's signature approach: instruction-based drawings that probe their practical and conceptual potentials.
