From 04 to 28 March 2026, the imagetanz festival will present new positions in choreography and performance. The festival offers a diverse programme with world premieres, workshops, and much more. There is a special focus on accessible formats such as Touch and Tell Tours, Scent Buffets, and get togethers. With LIFT Tanzkollektiv (Liv Schellander, Irene Giró, Fia/Sophia Neises, Tanja Erhart), Cat Jimenez, Maartje Pasman, Ray Scheinecker, Katharina Senk / Senki, Carolina Cappelli, gergo d. farkas, Elena Lach, Ema Bencikova, and many more.

Fantastic worlds of the body

On 27 and 28 March, gergo d. farkas and Viktor Szeri will present their brand-new pieces. At brut nordwest, gergo d. farkas takes the audience on a journey into a nebulous world with his dance solo rascal, where bodies feel more intensely and love more deeply. At WUK performing arts, Viktor Szeri invites the audience on an immersive exploration with the group piece unseen, in which movement, sensation and presence merge. Both performances can easily be seen one after the other in a single evening.

Dance the night away!

We’re wrapping up imagetanz on the dance floor: at the Closing Party, presented by The Gap, Yinna will be spinning an eclectic DJ set at brut nordwest on 28 March from 22:00. With house, techno, electro and acid, we’ll be celebrating the finale of the last imagetanz festival at brut nordwest. Pay as you can – free admission with an imagetanz ticket!

Im_flieger CHANGING SPACES Vienna–Vorarlberg is a national artist-in-residence exchange project for contemporary dance and performance in cooperation with netzwerkTanz Vorarlberg. In addition to working on their own artistic project, encounters and exchanges with local artists are promoted during the 4-week residency in Vorarlberg. The residency is advertised for one project and one person. Deadline: 19 April 2026

Taking the time – Take your time!

On 05 March, we will meet at brut nordwest and, together with Ema Benčíková, Elena Lach, and LIFT Tanzkollektiv, invite you to a moment of slowing down. We will explore how to relax during a festival – in the midst of it, and afterwards. What does your body really need to unwind? Accompanying the event at brut nordwest, we are providing online materials with scores and instructions for relaxation and regulation, so that people who cannot attend in person can still participate.
