STOP – From Macho to Davičo by Zoe Gudović aka Zed Zeldich Zed is more than a performance – it’s a call to action! A diverse team of artists a. o. – director Miloš Lolić, cabaret drag performer Dekadenca, new media artist Anastasiia Vorobiova, authors Barbi Marković and Olja Alvir and many many more created a collective force reclaiming the stage as a space for urgency, unity and resistance!

Perpetual Poetry

A performer dressed in black lies on top of a large, cylindrical structure covered in quilted fabric. Their expression appears focused, and they seem engaged in an act of balance or movement. The minimalist white background emphasizes the contrast with the dark clothing and the installation.

In Roll Over and Over and Over by Oleg Soulimenko, the audience follows a large cylinder that becomes the center of an emotionally and physically involving performance. In the hall of brut nordwest, two performers interact with the object and explore violence in its many manifestations. The performance opens up the subject to the unconscious and develops an expressive, physically perceptible language beyond classical narrative forms.

Artwork Season 2024/25

The artwork for season 2024/25 by filmmaker and interdisciplinary artist Nigel Gavus focuses on the performativity of everyday life and coincidences. The ‘Marocats’ series shows street cats in order to visualise their everyday situations and capture them as a contemporary document.

Artist Playlists

In keeping with their pieces, imagetanz artists have created Spotify playlists to get the audience in the mood for their work or to send them off into the night with the right soundtrack. Björn Säfsten, for example, takes us into the night with songs by James Blake, Little Dragon, Caroline Polacek and Jessica Pratt, while Hyeji Nam takes things from melancholic to electronic with Oklou, Appleblim, Burial and Aphex Twin.
The space is a small, minimalist theatre hall with a simple, modern aesthetic. The stage has a bright, smooth floor surface and is surrounded by three white walls without any decoration. At the back of the wall, there are three tall, narrow windows that let in a bit of natural light. The ceiling is equipped with a dense grid of spotlights, speakers, and technical installations that ensure the lighting and acoustics of the performance.
