Lau Lukkarila (dey/they) ist ein:e Künstler:in aus der Gegend des Bottnischen Meerbusens in Finnland. Deren performative Arbeit erforscht Wille und Wunden im Spannungsfeld von Anziehung und Belastung durch Affekte. Lau Lukkarila fühlt sich von scharfem Witz und Taschenmessern angezogen. Deren Arbeiten wurden u. a. im Mad House Helsinki, im österreichischen Pavillon der Gwangju Biennale 2024 (Club Liaison/Liesl Raff), im HochX München, im LOFFT Theater Leipzig, bei ImPulsTanz, im Tanzquartier Wien, im brut Wien sowie im Kunstraum Niederösterreich präsentiert. Lau Lukkarila war zuletzt 2021 mit der Produktion kneading to the 3rd millennia im brut Wien zu sehen.
