Hugo Le Brigand

Black-and-white portrait of a smiling person sitting on a train. The person wears a light-colored cap, a light T-shirt, and small earrings, looking directly at the camera. In the background, there are padded train seats, a window with daylight, and a luggage rack.

Hugo Le Brigand

Hugo Le Brigand is a French dancer and choreographer based in Vienna and co-founder of Tanztheater Sing, which he established in 2023 together with Sebastiano Sing. For more than a decade, Hugo has explored dance as a space for encounters and porous collaborations, weaving movement into dialogue with a wide range of artists, among them Doris Uhlich, Alix Eynaudi, Daniela Georgieva, Karin Pauer, and Ari Benjamin Meyers.

In 2017, he was a danceWEB scholarship holder at ImPulsTanz and in 2018 received the START Stipendium for Music and Performing Arts from the Austrian Federal Chancellery. His career has since been supported by Tanzquartier Wien’s Body & Performance Practices program (2023) and the City of Vienna’s Scholarship for Performing Arts – Performance (2025). www.hugolebrigand.com
