Exploring the depths

Two people are sitting relaxed next to each other in a simple, bright room. Both are wearing dark tops and are looking calmly and directly at the camera.

At the start of the season, you can look forward to three world premieres – by Karin Pauer, Olivia Hild & Lens Kühleitner and Matteo Haitzmann. From 8 to 11 October, Karin Pauer will dive into the depths of marine ecosystems with Hugo Le Brigand and Ixchel Mendoza Hernández in LOW at brut nordwest. At studio brut from 15 to 18 October, Lens Kühleitner & Olivia Hild will create a sound performance in trace my layers, thrust your guts, approaching the geological process of thrusting. Inspired by the mythical river Styx, Matteo Haitzmann explores being lost in the in-between and bathes in dense fog from 22 to 25 October at brut nordwest. Advance ticket sales for the brut programme in October and November 2025 start on 17 September.

FREISCHWIMMEN light provides a boost

FREISCHWIMMEN

FREISCHWIMMEN light is a new chapter in the international FREISCHWIMMEN platform to support emerging artists in the independent performing arts. The aim is the sustainable promotion and professionalization of young art positions in difficult funding conditions.
