We’re kicking off the new year with plenty of punch and plenty of laughs: From 14 to 17 January, Stefanie Sourial sets off FLASHMOB, a riotously funny homage to the flash mobs of the 2000s – somewhere between protest, hedonism and spontaneous togetherness. Around the performance on 15 January, join us for an Aperitivo (hosted by Hyo Lee) and an Artist Talk (hosted by Katrin Brehm). On 17 January, we invite blind and visually impaired visitors to a touch tour with Stefanie Sourial, Elena Lach and Wibke Scheler – stage and materials to explore by touch.
The fast-paced show JUSTITIA! Identity Cases by Gin Müller, Simonida Selimović, Mariama Nzinga Diallo & Edwarda Gurrola about the relationship between theatre, court and social media returns to brut. The trial focuses on hotly debated issues of identity politics, negotiated with humour, rap and dance. The performance was shown at the Impulse Festival in 2023 and nominated for the Nestroy Award.
For a crowning January finale, Marta Navaridas joins forces with Veza Fernández, Stina Fors, Lau Lukkarila, Maja Osojnik and Denise Palmieri. From 23 to 28 January, they tell – and dance – a modern fairytale of raw energy, confronting ballet discipline, drill and power structures in the dance world as an act of self-empowerment.
