Job Opening: Financial and Human Resources Administration (30 hours)

As a production and performance venue for the performing arts in Vienna, brut is one of the most renowned institutions in the independent performance, dance, and theater scene in the German-speaking world. At its new venue in Neu Marx and at various temporary venues throughout Vienna, brut produces and presents experimental performing arts from Austria and beyond. brut focuses on the development, production, and presentation of works and experimental formats in the fields of performance and dance.

We are looking for a new team member (M/F/D) to join our administration department starting August 01, working 30 hours per week. Application deadline: June 21, 2026

 

Responsibilities:

  • Research and preparation of grant applications, reports, and financial statements for funding agencies
  • Administration of various contracts (grants, co-productions, individual artists, rentals, etc.)
  • Administrative handling of personnel matters
  • Statistical management
  • Bookkeeping and financial planning (BMD business software)
  • Insurance administration
  • Support with phone service, mail, and various orders
  • Administrative liaison with other departments
  • General administrative tasks

Profile:

  • Professional experience in these or similar fields
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Accurate, independent, and solution-oriented work style
  • High sense of responsibility
  • Understanding of business and contractual matters
  • Good knowledge of the cultural and funding landscape
  • Very good MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) as well as willingness to work with other software programs
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team, enjoyment of working with people in an artistic environment, and openness to contemporary art

General Information:

  • Work location: Koproduktionshaus Wien GmbH, Nordwestbahnstraße 8-10, 1200 Vienna; relocation to Karl-Farkas-Gasse 16, 1030 Vienna at the end of the year
  • Contract start date: August 01, 2026
  • Contract end date: The employment contract is initially fixed-term until December 31, 2027
  • Workload: 30 hours
  • Minimum salary: starting at €3,000 gross/month for full-time employment (40 hours), with a willingness to offer higher compensation based on relevant experience.
