Edwarda Gurrola began her acting career in 1987, in theater and film. She has worked continuously in theater, film, radio, and television ever since. In theater, she has performed in works such as The Broken Pitcher directed by Harald Clemen (1996), Hamlet directed by Juan José Gurrola (2006), The Clean House directed by Debbie Saivetz (2011), Who shot the princess? (2009), Fantomas Monster (2016), JUSTITIA! Identity Cases (2022) directed by Gin Müller, in Austria, among many others. In cinema he has starred in feature films such as Divine by Arturo Ripstein (1998), The pleasure is mine by Elisa Miller (2014,) Fireflies by Bani Koshnoudi (2018), among others. As a supporting actress, she has been in more than 30 feature films directed by the most renowned Mexican directors. She has directed shows related to music and art since 1998, in addition to performance shows such as Monoblock (2013) at the Bienal de Porto Alegre, Brazil and Jazz Palabra at LACMA, Los Angeles, USA (2015). She won the Ariel Award for Best Actress in 2020.
