Film shoot, concert, sauna and swimming night for DER RING DES NIBELUNGENVIERTELS
The Nibelungenviertel, one of the boroughs in Vienna’s 15th district has been the venue of a participative city TV series since October. The irreality.tv collective has been filming DER RING DES NIBELUNGENVIERTELS. Pillaging Wagner’s Ring, they gather the people on location to create a new Nibelungensaga revolving around desire and adventures in the every-day business of their neighbourhood.
As a kick-off for the the second filming phase, irreality.tv invite to an excursion to the banks of the River Rhine including sauna, concert and film shoot. Three scenes from the Ring – the theft of the Rhinegold, Siegfried’s journey to the Rhine and the dramatic finale of the twilight of the gods – will be filmed together with the audience in the bathhouse of Sargfabrik. There will be singing Rhinemaidens, winged horses, a fire and a flood.
Please register by sending an e-mail to tickets@brut-wien.at. You will be informed about the exact meeting point upon registration. Don’t forget to bring your bathing suits! Visitors in golden bathing clothes get free admission!
Besides, irreality.tv will continue to work on their four-part TV series DER RING DES NIBELUNGENVIERTELS loosely inspired my motifs from Wagner’s Ring in December. Anybody can participate. More specifically, the collective is looking for musicians who would find it fun to interpret a piece of Wagner. If you are interested, click here. The production office is open from 12 to 22 December every day between 2 pm and 6 pm, just drop by at the Grätzlgalerie on Kriemhildplatz.
