Vienna-based artist Soia and her producer Mez once again venture onto new paths with their latest album H.I.O.P., which they will present with Soia’s band exclusively at SOIAJOJAẄIBE at brut. While she used to be deeply rooted in neo soul, the new album is clearly oriented towards world music without omitting danceability, clubbability and a suitability for live performances. This show, presented by Sorority & The Gap, serves to celebrate the closing of the Business Riot Festival.
The Business Riot Festival is Austria’s largest conference on creativity and the job market, with a special focus on promoting women. More than 40 workshops and lectures from October 20th to 22nd will circle around various feminist approaches concerning issues such as autonomy, careers and employment histories. The aim is to use those three days to create a platform that will accommodate the feminist discourse concerning all things professional.
