In 2016, sound:frame celebrates its tenth birthday, together with scores of partners, international artists and its audience! For more than a decade now, the sound:frame Festival for Audiovisual Expressions has been the driving force for the development of audiovisual art and culture in Austria and beyond. In its ten years, sound:frame has become a networking platform for international artists and theoreticians across many disciplines.
The brut at the Künstlerhaus has been a permanent partner and host of the sound:frame Festival for many years. This year’s anniversary kicks off the festival live programming with the AV performance CONTINUUM by Subtext label boss Paul Jebanasam (Subtext, Bristol) and Dutch visualist Tarik Barri (Berlin).
On two consecutive days, sound:frame once again invites international and national AV artists, live acts, and visualists to the brut—among them highlights such as Throwing Shade (Ninja Tunes, UK), Jinjé (Messrs. Kick & Drum, UK), Pfadfinderei (Berlin), Florence To (London), Toju Kae & Jelana Veljkovic (Neopren Records, Vienna), Jahson the Scientist (Vienna) x Dandario (sound:frame AV, Vienna) feat. special guests Valence & Bildwerk, and many more.
