Fuelled by spring fever, BRUTTO’s April edition, the fifth edition of this season, yet again promises a musical programme deluxe.
Manfred Engelmayr aka Raumschiff Engelmayr will present his exceptional guitar sounds at the bar. Usually bustling around in bands such as Bulbul and Broken Heart Collector, he goes solo in this crazy one-man show, creating humming beats on his electric guitar from which he manages to elicit entirely new sounds thanks to his unconventional style. The strange melodies Engelmayr sings concern Nicole, Ingeborg and other problems.
The second part of the show will feature the award-winning jazz/improv/groove/avant-garde combo Kompost 3 that consists of Martin Eberle, Benny Omerzell, Manu Mayr and Lukas König. What started out as a project among friends in a student apartment in Vienna’s third district has developed into one of the most exciting formations of the young Vienna jazz scene during the past few years. For the April BRUTTO, Kompost 3 will invite the no less celebrated singer-songwriter Mira Lu Kovacs (Schmieds Puls) onto the stage for a guest appearance.
