A Tribe Called Knarf
Knarf Rellöm comes to brut as a guest to play a cosy concert for fans and aficionados. January will see Hamburg-based musician Rellöm and his well-known electric punk manners, succumbing to the capitalistically realistic imperative to “be different” and making the audience dance by the new name “A Tribe Called Knarf”. While, needless to say, A Tribe Called Knarf is a reference to hip-hop re-animators A Tribe Called Quest, Knarf’s tribe does not perform hip-hop but rather a tribute to the joys of experimentation. “Only a single thing will ever remain the same: permanent change. And all that only to keep up the speed and to keep the music industry on its toes”, Knarf himself says. Those who partied ten years ago with to poppy anarchist tracks will know all too well what this means. Everybody else is highly recommended to jump in at the deep brut end.
