The audio walk is part of Literaturmeile Zieglergasse 2021
Sööt/Zeyringer invites you for a walk through your own neighborhood. A walk that you can start right from your home: an area that you have strolled through a hundred times, a district that you think you know well, a route that has nothing new to discover. More or less works with what is already there, what is overlooked and what seems to be of no use. Based on research and personal stories the audio walk uncovers possibilities to refuse the cult of productivity. When effectiveness is demanded in every aspect of life, doing nothing can be an act of resistance. Through poetic images and minimal collaborative tasks More or Less seeks strategies for personal degrowth.
INFO: The audiowalk More or less is part of Literaturmeile Zieglergasse 2021. You can start at anytime between 2 pm and 6 pm at the info booth of brut right in front of studio brut at Zieglergasse 25. The audio file for the walk can be downloaded on site at the supervised brut Wien booth. If you don't have your own smartphone and headphones, MP3 players can be borrowed. The duration of the walk is 45 minutes.
This poetic and humorous little story will invite you to reflect, quite personally, what it means to do less. During the walk, you will receive simple instructions and tasks that reveal the hidden value of inconspicuous things. More or Less will direct your attention to what is already there, to what has been overlooked so far and to what is apparently of no use. Based on research, personal stories and poetic experiments, this audio walk will uncover possibilities and strategies of deceleration. When efficiency and productivity is required in every area of life, doing nothing becomes an act of resistance.
