At Rapper lesen Rapper (#RLR) [rapper reading rapper] musicians of the Austrian and international Hip Hop scene literarily re-interpret works by big names and figures of the rap game. The only rule for the evening will be, that no one presents own works. The hosts lead through the evening with a late-night-show character, a lot of know-how and chatting about the current artistic works of their guests.
#RLR separates Rap from its music and lays the focus down on the written word itself. In this manner, a new space for a new kind of lyric is created, which holds the potential to rise and evolve it to the unknown. It does not matter whether the texts are in English or in German, whether original or self-translated…every evening creates its own odd combination of unexpected, humorous moments and profoundness. After the show, the programme will be completed by a fine DJ Line-up in the bar.
