Sööt / Zeyringer - lonely lonely

Sööt/Zeyringer once again invite the audience to discover their unique and minimalist performance cosmos. In lonely lonely, they investigate the tension between desired and undesired loneliness, the need for human warmth and the simultaneous need for privacy. Using dry humour, subtle irony and cardboard boxes, the two performers create a rhythmic-choreographic dialogue on being lonesome and being together, while in the midst of minimalist and accurate execution, moments of surprise and poetry flare up.

The artist duo Tiina Sööt and Dorothea Zeyringer deals with performance at the intersection of visual arts and dance. In their works, the two artists try to find beauty, poetry, wit and absurdity in every-day objects, acts and language. They have been presented Sõltumatu Tantsu Lava Tallinn, Kunstraum Niederoesterreich or Schauspiel Köln, among others. The performance lonely lonely was awarded by the Federal Chancellery as well as by the Stockhom Fringe Festival.

In April, Tanzquartier Wien and brut join forces for FEEDBACK and present a common selection of dance and performances made in Austria. International curators as well as the local audience can get an overview over current productions from the free dance and performance scene and discover quite some insider tips from the perspective of Tanzquartier Wien and brut.
