The dasfundus network views art and culture as a free zone remote from the markets, where decentralised co-operatives may emerge as means of having each other’s backs.
The difficult working conditions of independent artists and cultural workers are characteristic for current tendencies observed in the entire working world. Way beyond tenure and moving in legal grey zones, many projects can only ever be pursued with a network branching out in all directions in order to possibly be able to make a living of art.
This time, as part of the imagetanz festival, dasfundus invites its colleagues to meet at burt, the bar. Under the tagline “dasfundus is not a service, dasfundus is what we make of it”, this evening wants to interconnect the creative crowd, inviting people to identify potential links to others in their own every-day work in order to devise tools for making work easier on several levels.
A self-determined platform well versed in network policy to be used for sharing resources and information is constantly growing on dasfundus.net. Three tools for improved interconnection have been implemented so far, others will be jointly developed. www.dasfundus.net
