sound:frame RELAUNCH
in co-operation with brut
For ten years, the sound:frame festival has influenced the audio-visual art scene in Vienna and throughout Europe. From 2017, it will be active as an agent for co-production. Along with exciting institutions such as brut, the Graz Diagonale and OK Linz, it will create experimental lab settings, venues and stages for audio-visual and interdisciplinary projects and collaborations. The sound:frame projects are basically an interface linking audio-visual artists with various disciplines, institutions and contexts as well as a lab and breeding ground for current artistic topics.
The sound:frame RELAUNCH will first be presented to the public at brut. After the presentation, producer/musician Flako (UNSGND / BLN / AV, Berlin) and visualist Monocolor (sound:frame, Vienna), who performed together for the first time in 2016 upon invitation by sound:frame, will present their most recent AV show. Musician Mavi Phoenex will also use that night’s show to introduce her new audio-visual cooperation. Finally, the programme will feature an installation and live visuals by visualists nita. (sound:frame, Vienna) and luma.launisch (sound:frame, Vienna) as well as music by DJs Sofie (Stones Throw / NTS Radio, Vienna), Anna Leiser (bepop rodeo / sound:frame, Vienna) and Darky Dark (KATASTROPHE, Vienna).
