OPEN HOUSE
On the last MITTEN afternoon, the artists and participants of the seven lab sessions invite you to an open house! It’s an event that offers an insight into artistic processes and invites you to take part, discuss and celebrate. It kicks off at 2 pm: unlearn to dance with choreographer Matija Ferlin ; raise your voice withBuhle Ngaba and storytelling; marvel at the results of the ÖMSUBM Wikipedia Edit-a-thon by Dalia Ahmed and Tonica Hunter; play Commonopoly with Anna Rispoli and her participants; be surprised by the encounter with Bouchra Ouizguen; and experience a performance by Back to Back Theatre and their Un-masterclass. As a final highlight, the Spanish theatre group El Conde de Torrefiel will stage the mass performance MIRAR with all those present, a spontaneous spectacle set somewhere between the end of the world and the evocation of a new beginning. Taking part is what counts!

The end of the world is drawing ever nearer, at least the world as we know it. The great human community is calling for a clean break and a new beginning. Day after day, academia and the sciences, the mainstream media, esoteric voices and the prophecies of past civilisations evoke details, stories, images, theories and statistics that colour the reality of our everyday lives with the eventuality of an unknown and unexpected new historical cycle. Entering the future as an object of desire and a spectacle that no one dares to miss.
