meeting point: Vienna Zentralfriedhof (gate 3)
In preparation for their project LOST_INN. staging grief, which will turn brut into a resonant cavity for the topics of loss and grief for five days next January, the artist duo hoelb/hoeb calls for an early tour through Vienna’s Central Cemetery, the Zentralfriedhof, this November. The walk will reach atmospheric final resting places for people of several confessions, such as the Jewish and Buddhist burial grounds, the Mormon grove and some Muslim and Christian Orthodox sepulchres. The audience is kindly asked to take lots of pictures at the cemetery to present them later at a get-together while listening to Lennon songs.
We recommend weather-proof clothing!
Tour: Dr. Anita Traxl und Gerald Straub (Kurator/Künstler)
For Out and About, artists and audiences fan out to explore the city. This can include anything from joint walks to meetings at special places and strolls in shopping streets. These city tours can lead off beaten tracks, question established views of the city and open up new perspectives.
