A singer, producer of electro music and classical composer, Elizabeth Bernholz is praised for her style of unique, aerially cool industrial pop she produces under the name of Gazelle Twin. This “high priestess in a sombre synthesizer landscape” (Spex) evokes a feeling of permanent goose pimples and amazes with her uncanny stage presence. The music industry, all too happy to stylise female singers as sexy icons, is reduced to absurdity by her stocking-mask/hoodie kind of masquerade. On her recently published new album Unflesh, she refines her sombre sound to abduct listeners to mysterious, not so cosy dream landscapes of the unconscious.

All three of them refuse to submit to the still male-dominated dictate of the pop industry, like to play with attributed identities and amaze by their ineffable, intractable musical creations.
