Seba Kayan

Seba Kayan is a music producer, DJ and lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Drawing from her Kurdish heritage and Austrian upbringing, she creates electronic music that connects diasporic sonic traditions with contemporary club culture. Her work challenges Western-dominated narratives in electronic music by weaving sounds from Southwest Asia, North Africa, and Anatolia into techno and rave contexts. She was nominated for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the category Electronic/Dance in 2026 and performs internationally at festivals, in clubs and at cultural institutions, including the donaufestival, the Jupiter Disco (New York), the Grelle Forelle and the Austrian Cultural Forum in New York.
