Inge Gappmaier is an independent choreographer, dancer, pedagogue and researcher. Across various formats, she explores contemporary self-conception of the human body at the intersection of poetry, technology, historical developments, and social structures. She studied choreography and performance (ATW, Giessen) as well as dance pedagogy (MUK, Vienna). In 2019, she founded the association varukt and has since collaborated, among others, with brut Wien, Kosmos Theater, Plesni Teater Ljubljana, Lebendiges Tanzarchiv Wien, KubusEXPORT, and D-CAF Cairo, among others. Inge Gappmaier last appeared at brut Wien in 2025 with her production protect. there is no wind in geometrical worlds.
