Veza María Fernández Ramos *1986 Veza writes, dances and talks. She makes dance and theatre pieces about big things, such as love, power and family. Veza has a deep passion for all scenic arts; that is why she mixes the possible and impossible dialogue between text and dance, classical theater, choreographic and performative forms with that that is the new. Veza loves repetition, due to its stretching, plural, beatlike potential. She believes in the cathartic function of a working constellation and she is an autodidact. She has been busy with dance and making shows in bars and radio programs since her childhood and teenage years.
Veza has received the bestOFFstyria audience prize for her solowork "Calamocos or my grandmother was a poet who couldn't write" (2014) , the danceWEB scholarship (2015), "Artist in Europe Brussels" scholarship (2015), Freischwimmer Touringprogramm (2016/17) with her piece "the father care piece piece" and the "Kunst Förderungspreis prize of the city of Graz (2016).
