Closing Cocktail
A final festival get together hosted by Elena Lach & Ema Benčíková
imagetanz ends in a festive mood – and with a festival cocktail in hand: We will conclude at a different venue, the WUK. Afterwards, we will round off the evening in the familiar festival setting at the imagetanz Closing Party at brut nordwest. Diverse experiences, lots of festival buddies – and one last get-together where you can reconnect with familiar faces or meet new ones.
This get-together offers – accompanied by a fruity non-alcoholic festival cocktail – a space to get in the mood for the varied programme of the evening and to look back on the festival programme together. We will share our access needs, wishes and little strategies so that we can all enjoy the festival finale together. Before the imagetanz Closing Party, we will experience two performances: unseen by Victor Szeri will be followed by rascal by gergo d. farkas. Together with Elena Lach and Ema Bencikova, who have guided us through the festival, we invite you one last time.
Following Victor Szeri’s performance unseen at WUK, we invite you to join us as we head to brut nordwest to experience gergo d. farkas’ performance rascal at 21:00. Afterwards, we will celebrate the end of the festival with a DJ set by Yinna.
Elena Lach (they/she) lives in Vienna and works as a performer, personal assistant and director’s assistant. They research the queer use of public spaces under the name of SPACE HOLDER, helping neurodivergent people to access queer parties, so far at flucc and 4lthangrund. As part of the Careful Collisions Collective, Elena Lach designs queer movement spaces for contact improvisation. They love questions and non-verbal communication and practice social idiosyncrasy as a survival strategy and a way to conduct relationships. In the autumn of 2025, Elena Lach, together with Ema Bencikova, hosted a workshop entitled Spacing in: Relaxed Performance Lab for autistic and neuroqueer persons as part of accessible brut.
Ema Bencikova (she/they) is a Vienna-based curator, theatre director and care worker. In their artistic research, they concentrate on a critical phenomenology of non-normative embodiment using methods of institutional constructivism and infrastructural analysis of assistance within trans and crip communities. From 2019 to 2024, they headed the Stopy Snov neurodivergent community theatre in Bratislava. In 2025, they curated exhibitions at the ŠKUC Gallery in Ljubljana and the Kunsthalle Exnergasse in Vienna. Also, Ema Bencikova received a scholarship from the intersectional organisation ‘kültüř gemma!’ In the autumn of 2025, together with Elena Lach, they hosted a workshop entitled Spacing in: Relaxed Performance Lab for autistic and neuroqueer persons as part of accessible brut.

For everybody to find their way to WUK, we offer a pick-up service at the U6 subway station ‘Währinger Straße-Volksoper’ and from the tram station ‘Spitalgasse’. Please let us know by email at barrierefreiheit@brut-wien.at or by phone on +43 676 587 8723 and we will be happy to pick you up.
After the show of unseen by Viktor Szeri, we will travel together from WUK to brut nordwest for the performance rascal by gergő d. farkas. The journey by tram 5 to Nordwestbahnstraße takes approx. 20 to 30 minutes.
