Elizabeth Ward

Elizabeth Ward is a dancer/choreographer who is now based in Vienna but previously lived and worked in New York, Athen, Brussels and Portland. In her work, she explores the collective history of dance traditions saved in dancers’ muscle memories and studies them as living archaeology. Ward has presented her pieces at venues such as The Kitchen (NYC), Danspace Projects (NYC), Tanzquartier Wien, and at festivals such as ImPulsTanz und the Wiener Festwochen. As a dancer, she has worked with, among others, DD Dorvillier, Miguel Gutierrez and Jennifer Lacey. Elizabeth Ward holds a bachelor’s degree from Bennington College and has given workshops across Europe and North America.
