From 04 to 28 March, imagetanz presents the latest in choreography and performance with a diverse programme of world premieres, workshops, get-togethers and much more from international and local artists and collectives.
At the opening on 04 March, the LIFT dance collective (Liv Schellander, Irene Giró, Fia/Sophia Neises, Tanja Erhart) will explore non-linear biographies beyond normative ideas in BIOFUCK, bringing alternative, queer and crip life stories to life in a multi-sensory experience. It can be seen again on 06 and 07 March. Also biographically inspired, Cat Jimenez's dance solo ruins of a shell, running from 10 to 13 March, depicts grief as a constantly changing state in which longing and irony lie close together. tanz.sucht.theater, consisting of Maartje Pasman, Theresa Scheinecker / Ray, Katharina Senk / Senki & Verena Zeiner, brings BUZZ to the stage from 19 to 21 March, a vibrant body concert for people of all visual abilities. From 23 to 26 March, Carolina Cappelli stages a film pitch with a gruesome outcome in the performance B-MOVIES about female supporting characters. gergő d. farkas takes us on a journey into a nebulous, sensual world in his solo rascal, where bodies feel more intensely and love more deeply – a journey between the physical world and the embodiment of the world on 27 and 28 March. Viktor Szeri also transports the audience in unseen – also on 27 and 28 March – to an intermediate world in which subtle gestures, changing rhythms and quiet presence explore the moment before form takes shape.
imagetanz kicks off on 28 February with How to festival? – a pre-gathering as part of brut barrierefrei. With Taking the time, Elena Lach, Ema Benčíková & LIFT Tanzkollektiv invite you to an open relaxation room on 05 March. On 20 March, BUZZING around addresses neurodivergent, blind and visually impaired people with a multi-sensory experience consisting of a scent buffet and tactile tour, and a Closing Cocktail on the final day of the festival, 28 March, offers the opportunity to share festival experiences.
Once again this year, the Huggy Bears artists will be showing the first excerpts from their rehearsal processes at Handle with care (07, 08, 14 and 15 March), brut is inviting everyone to the community event marhaba at brut (13 March) together with Selin Baran, and the festival will conclude with a DJ set by Yinna (28 March).
