Natalie Ananda Assmann (*1988, she/her), is a freelance artist, theatre-maker, curator and performer. Her work is located at the intersection of theatrical intervention in public spaces and queer-feminist, anti-fascist image production. From 2019 to 2020 she was part of the Artistic Direction Team of WIENWOCHE - Festival for Art & Activism in Vienna. Assmann's last work was produced together with Nora Aaron Scherer, Janoushka Kamin and Magdalena Fischer for the BRITNEY X FESTIVAL at Schauspiel Köln. CITY OF WHORES as part of RED RULES VIENNA was her last major directorial work at F23 in Vienna, a collaboration with Red Edition - Migrant Sexworkers Group. In Berlin she realised NONBINARY - A Tribute to Genesis P-Orridge at the VOLKSBÜHNE AM ROSA-LUXEMBURG-PLATZ together with Marlene Engel, Bahar Kaygusuz and Leonard Neumann. Other works were part of the SPECTRUM Festival or IMPULSE THEATER FESTIVALS. Together with Gin Müller she curated the Academy 2 "Ar/ctivism - Art and Activism in Free Theatre" in Cologne in 2022. She lives in Berlin and Vienna.
