Handle with care spezial

The brut series Handle with Care invites audiences and colleagues to see and discuss initial sketches of a new work, make rehearsal processes more open and create space for dialogue and exchange. Artists try out parts of their work in front of a small audience that responds instantly and thus becomes a partner in crime. During imagetanz, there are two Handle with Care special editions, as young artists, namely Andrea Gunnlaugsdóttir and Sööt/Zeyringer, open their studio for visitors and present insights into the creative process of devising their pieces.
Sööt/Zeyringer invite audiences to join a rehearsal for their current project You Will Figure It Out. Together with the visitors they investigate how to rethink success and failure in an artistic process. They examine the creative potential of seemingly unsolvable situations and explore strategies to leave beaten artistic tracks and develop new ideas.
Tiina Sööt and Dorothea Zeyringer have been working as a duo at the interface of art and dance since 2012. Their works are driven by the search for beauty, poetry, wit and absurdity in every-day objects, situations and language. Sööt/Zeyringer were guests at brut during the 2013 and 2015 imagetanz festivals and received the performing arts bonus awarded by Austria’s Federal Chancellery.
