Dewey Dell (live)
Dewey Dell’s audiovisual renditions are informed by basso sounds, energetic noise and a cool, reduced aesthetic. Choreographic elements represent a key factor of the performance, closely linked to the generation of electronic sounds on stage. This way, the artists’ movements seem to become instruments of the overall construction just like every single sound and every single baseline.
Dewey Dell are a group of artists from Italy, devoted not only to performance but also to electronic music. Established in 2007 by three siblings, Teodora, Demetrio and Agata Castellucci, as well as Eugenio Resta, their projects are always devised in a collective creative process, in which every single group member contributes their own expertise in composition, choreography and lighting design. The four Italian artists have conceived seven performances together that tour the world with great success. Since 2011, the group has also devised three performance-style live concerts (EP Black Fanfare 2013). imagetanz marks Dewey Dell’s first performance of one of their very special live concerts in Austria.
