Access friends can be recognised at brut Wien by their yellow high-visibility vests and bells.

###

Relaxed event

Open + A relaxed event is an accessibility concept that rethinks the traditional setting of performance spaces. It originates from the autism community and aims to make sensory stimuli in theatre and performance more accessible: lighting and sound designs are developed artistically to be as low-stimulus as possible, enabling a more inclusive performance experience. Alternative seating options, leaving the auditorium during the performance, and noise from the audience are not off-limits in the context of a relaxed event, but rather an integral part of the shared experience.
Stim toys are provided.

A new season is beginning, and we are setting out together. The future home of brut is located in Neu Marx, in Vienna’s 3rd district. The building is still a construction site. However, we already want to get to know the surrounding area. We start by walking from the nearby U3 station Schlachthausgasse towards the new theatre. At atelier brut next door, there is time to linger and to move. You will also learn more about the upcoming brut programme.
We finish by enjoying pizza together.

A new season begins and we invite you to a new location: the future home of brut Wien in Neu Marx, in the third district. The building is still under construction. Spaces are taking shape, and much is still in the making. Before performances, dance, and long evenings will take place here, we explore the surroundings together. An event for everyone who is curious about the future brut Vienna, who wants to walk this path together, and who feels like reconnecting, meeting new people, and spending an evening in good company!

The afternoon begins with a shared walk: starting from the nearby U3 station Schlachthausgasse, Elena Lach, Ray Scheinecker, and Katharina Senk / Senki guide us through the new neighbourhood. Along the way, we encounter historical traces and contemporary urban landscapes, familiar corners and new perspectives. The walk invites us to get to know the diversity of the area, to try out new paths, and to come a little closer to the future home of brut Wien.

Afterwards, we meet at atelier brut – a new space for encounter located right next to the future theatre. Here, we take time for movement, encounter, and exchange. A special highlight: we give first insights into the upcoming season and share exciting glimpses of the programme. Maybe there are dates you’ll want to mark in your calendar right away.

We will end the evening together with pizza.
Come closer and get to know the new location, stay for the pizza!
