Based on the piece JUSTITIA! Identity Cases, Şeyda Kurt and Selina Shirin Stritzel talk about how solidarity can look like and be lived within the currently fiercely disputed identity debates – whether these identity politics are also part of our love relationships and how we can break up the existing relationship models with radical tenderness.
Şeyda Kurt is a journalist, essayist and columnist. She writes and speaks about philosophy, culture, politics, and leftist feminism. In April 2021, her non-fiction bestseller Radical Tenderness – Why Love is Political was published, in which she examines norms of love in the force field of capitalism, patriarchy and colonialism and asks for new forms of solidary togetherness. As an editor, she worked on the Spotify Original Podcast 190220 – A Year After Hanau, which won the Grimme Online Award.
