The young South African author and actor BUHLE NGABA playfully conveys methods of self-discovery through storytelling, with the aim of letting your voice be heard and telling your own story – and becoming unafraid to act and take action.
Calling all; clowns, professional dabblers, self-proclaimed wallflowers, artists and weirdos to the #AdaptOrFly narrative lab! In the context of her fearless and touching solo Swan Song, actor and writer Buhle Ngaba proposes this Lab as a space of self-discovery through play. Participants will experiment with how to be at home with their own voices and stories – their presence in the world; and how to go about sharing their individual story with the world. The sessions will take the format of drama therapy exercises, physical theatre tasks, group activities and discussions. Buhle Ngaba and her participants will work together to create an environment where they go on a journey to find the shape and form of their innate hums – the state in which they are self-aware and self-confident enough in their own voices to be unafraid to take action.
