In November, brut’s popular regular kitchen-sink meeting will move to the newly refurbished studio brut at Zieglergasse 25 and is looking forward to the visit of the Brutpfleger*innen. The two artists Susanne Preissl and Eva Puchner will open a “Centre for the Abolishment of Women’s Suffrage” on Karlsplatz, where they will organise a vote on the abolishment of women’s suffrage. At brut’s regular kitchen-sink meeting, they will offer an input on the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage in Austria and will share the experiences gained in their political artistic action. Will they rattle the pots and pans themselves? Will they send the male guests back to the kitchen? We are already looking forward to it!

Bring your own booze with Die Brutpfleger*innen

brut’s regular kitchen-sink meetings are open to everyone – brut-newbies, our core audience, artists and colleagues or neighbours from Zieglergasse. Alternating chefs keep guests busy with joint cooking and there is enough time to get to know each other and exchange views about anything from recipes to dentist recommendations or ideas for the next performance. And, yes, it’s right that all the guests bring their own bottles!

The Brutpfleger*innen, founded in 2017 by Susanne Preissl and Eva Puchner, foster the cultural support of individuals and society. It is their vision to take over the public space with artistic and political actions. Their art projects empower women and oscillate between performing arts, performance, installation and music.
