Doris Uhlich – TANK @ HOME

The choreographer and performer Doris Uhlich shares with us a dance performance inspired by "TANK / site specific", in which she would have performed in a tank in the anthropological collection of the Natural History Museum. As long as no new date for "TANK / site specific" has been found, we can pass the time with "TANK @ HOME".

The project TANK / site specific by Doris Uhlich and Boris Kopeinig had to be postponed, but will be shown in the brut program at a later date. In TANK / site specific, Doris Uhlich and Boris Kopeinig are developing a site-specific version of the stage solo TANK with brut in the Naturhistorisches Museum Wien. For three days, the tank will be in the anthropological department in which Doris Uhlich moves in the midst of human history. With its transparent walls, the tank is reminiscent of an oversized test tube and a dynamic space of reflection about body and time is created.

The choreographer and performer Doris Uhlich is an established figure in the Austrian and international dance scene with her performances, which raise political issues in a very personal way. In 2018 and 2019 she was "Dancer of the Year" for the magazine tanz. In addition to her own productions, she also teaches at the Max Reinhardt Seminar.
