## artist.bio

Andrea Amort studied classical and modern dance as well as theater studies. She is a dance critic, dramaturge, and curator, working on topics including dance and exile and dance heritage. She has directed festivals including *Beyond the Waltz* in Washington 2006, *Touches: Dance Before 1938 – Dance of Today* at the Odeon in 2008, created dance projects such as *Hanna Berger: Retouchings*, and curated two exhibitions at the Theatermuseum Wien in 2019–2020: *Alles tanzt. Kosmos Wiener Tanzmoderne* (Hatje Cantz) and *Die Spitze tanzt. 150 Years of Ballet at the Vienna State Opera*. She has also published widely. In 2021 the programme Kosmos Wiener Tanzmoderne was shown at the festival ImPulsTanz.
