All online events of the current brut programme.
In May everything is about the topic "making-of". The brut series Handle with care offers insights into artistic work processes, a workshop invites you to try artistic strategies yourself and in the series The Art of Assembly the emergence of political protest is discussed.
There will be three online editions of the brut series Handle with care. The Irish artists Shanna May Breen and Luke Casserly talk about their work on dying woods in Ireland. During a double evening the artists Lau Lukkarila and Sandra Chatterjee give insights into their performative practice. Lau Lukkarila deals with needs and feelings and Sandra Chatterjee exposes the connection between racism and smells. In a workshop, the artist Veza Fernández shares exercises on the liberating and empowering power of screaming with the audience.
Also in the beginning of May there will be an online edition of the discourse series The Art of Assembly with author and curator Florian Malzacher. In line with the brut topic "making-of", the focus is on the emergence of political protest. How do activists come together, how do they network, how do they take their protests onto the streets?
