## artist.bio

Ema Bencikova (she/they) ist eine in Wien lebende Kuratorin, Theaterregisseurin und Care-Workerin. In ihrer künstlerischen Forschung konzentriert sie sich auf eine kritische Phänomenologie nichtnormativer Verkörperung mittels Methoden des institutionellen Konstruktivismus und der infrastrukturellen Analyse gegenseitiger Hilfe innerhalb trans und crip Communities. Von 2019 bis 2024 war sie Leiterin des neurodivergenten Community-Theaters Stopy Snov in Bratislava. 2025 kuratierte sie Ausstellungen in der ŠKUC Gallery in Ljubljana und in der Kunsthalle Exnergasse in Wien. Im vergangenen Jahr war sie Stipendiatin der intersektionalen Organisation kültüř gemma!. Im Herbst 2025 leitete Ema Bencikova gemeinsam mit Elena Lach den Workshop *Spacing in: Relaxed Performance Lab* für autistische und neuroqueere Personen im Rahmen von brut barrierefrei.
