Daniel Wisser

Daniel Wisser’s creative work has been informed by his constant search for new forms of expression – be they literary, when he acted as author or publisher, or musical, as he is also a member of the First Vienna Home Organ Orchestra (Erstes Wiener Heimorgelorchester).

On the brut stage, Daniel Wisser now performs new text in the form of a charming and entertaining one-man show while presenting his most recent book Kein Wort für Blau (“No Word for Blue”).
Philosopher and Daniel Wisser fan Robert Pfaller has this to say about him: “Wisser never narrates, but rather, downright impassively, almost mechanically, allows something seemingly different sound through himself. By preferably recounting disappearance, Wisser likes to make himself disappear as well – for the benefit of some kind of factual report that seems spoken from somewhere else and observed from an impossible place.”

No Word for Blue is Wisser’s third feature-length spoken-word performance following the shows Beneath the Floor and At the Moment Only Forever. No Word for Blue is also the English translation of the title of his most recent book, published at Klever, which includes all three of these texts.
